The quickest way to construct large-bore sewers is by the use of concrete pipes. The drains that lead underground are constructed from concrete rings.

The machine shown produces large-bore concrete pipes. After concrete has been poured into the mould, an arm with a vibration unit is lowered onto the mould.

The vibration, which is set at a precisely determined level, compacts the concrete. This results in stable pipes and rings.

The vibrations are generated by two or more flyweights in the vibration unit.The demands on the bearings are very high:

• high speeds

• high accelerations

• high basic load ratings

• reliable operation

• insensitive to contamination and water
